Mrs. Capps was retired from Greensboro Manufacturing and Dixie Belle Sales. She was a member of Sheraton Park Free Will Baptist Church.
Mrs. Capps was preceded in death by her husband, Jasper Capps; son, Robert Ward Capps; and sister, Lola Brown.
Survivors include her sons Archie Capps and wife, Louise of Graham, Sam Capps and wife, Sandy of Pleasant Garden; daughters, Jean Fulk of Winston-Salem and Maxine Parrish and husband, Franklin of Oak Ridge; daughter-in-law Pauline Capps of Oxford; brothers, Robert Braswell of Smithfield; Ray Braswell of Pine Level; Rudolph Braswell of Cross City, Fla.; sisters, Etta Adams of Angier and Sarah Prevatte of Greenville, S.C.; 13 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Hanes-Lineberry Vanstory Chapel.
