She graduated from high school in Marshall, and worked at the Pratt and Whitney Aircraft Company in Kansas City during World War II.
She married J.R. Gifford on Sept 9, 1950 in Marshall.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and by a sister, Ruth Knight.
She was 76 when she passed away at Cox Walunt Lawn, Springfield, MO. I have a copy of her obit from Berryville Star Progress. The only thing it said about her funeral was "memorial service" at Shell Knob, MO.
A memorial for the Children and Youth Ministry of the Central Community United Methodist Church has been established.
