Grady Harve Click passed away unexpectedly on December 18, 2005, at the age of 64. He was born on January 10, 1941, in Dike, TX. Grady attended UT Law School where he graduated in 1966. Following law school Grady joined the Texas Legislative Council as legislative counsel to individual members and committees of the legislature.

Grady served in the U.S. Air Force as a Special Agent/Captain in the Office of Special Investigations. He graduated first in his class at the Air Force Special Investigations School in 1967, attending the Air Force specialized Counterintelligence Course in 1968, and was awarded the Bronze Star for military service in Vietnam in 1969. From 1971 through 1977, Grady was with the U.S. State Department's Agency for International Development where he served as a foreign assistance investigator. He was assigned to the U.S. embassies in Vietnam, Laos, Thailand, and the Philippines. He received the Vietnam civilian Service Medal in 1972, a Meritorious Honor Award in 1976 for close-out activities related to Vietnam-Indochina, and a Commendation from the U.S. Justice Department for his work in South Korea and Vietnam. Grady went to work for the Office of the Attorney General in 1977 where he has served as Division Chief of the Transportation Division since 1997. He became Board Certified in Personal Injury Trial Law in December 1988. He tried countless personal injury and wrongful death cases and was a frequent speaker/author on tort litigation and trial tactics. His work had as much to do with the advances in Texas' system of highways and transportation over the last few years as anyone in the State. He was a competent leader to the attorneys under his charge, always providing seasoned, sound leadership, mentoring them and overseeing their professional advancement and personal development. He was finally and most of all a true gentleman, gracious and gentle, and a wonderful friend to everyone he knew.

Grady is survived by his mother, Sibyl Click of Sulphur Springs, his wife, Ann, his four children, Dr. Ellie Click, Christian Click, Calvin Click, Emily Samford, and a brother, Barry Click of Sulphur Springs.
