Christopher Jacob Austin, 22, of Eureka, died Thursday at St. John Medical Center in Tulsa, Okla.
Cremation has taken place and a memorial will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the United Methodist Church in Severy, with Pastor Charles Cryderman officiating. Countryside-Zimmerman Funeral Home in Howard is handling arrangements.
Christopher was born Sept. 22, 1988 in Wichita, the son of Eldon Leroy Austin and Mary Leigh Doane. He graduated from Eureka high school and had attended Kansas State University.
Survivors include his parents of Eureka; two sisters, Leigha Kimberlin of Eureka and Lacie Shirley of Wameo, his maternal grandparents, Melvin and Joyce Doane of Severy; and his paternal grandmother, Betty Austin of Fredonia.
