Edgar Fleming age 90 of Gunlock, Kentucky passed away Sunday, April 6, 2014 at the Mountain Manor Nursing Home in Paintsville, Kentucky. Edgar was born November 22, 1923 in Pike County, Kentucky to the late Elijah and Lona Thacker Fleming. He is also preceded in death by his wife Lula Shepherd Fleming. Survivors include one son
Larry (Ruth) Fleming of Miland, Michigan, three daughters Luetta (Roy) Wilhoite of Pompano Beach, Florida, Lona Miller of Eva, Alabama and Edith (Dave) Matthews of Ypsilanti, Michigan, one brother James Fleming of Ypsilanti, Michigan, one sister Pearl (Paul) Taylor of Lakeland, Florida, 5 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren also survive.
In addition to his wife Edgar is preceded in death by two brothers Elbridge Thacker and Robert Fleming and two sisters Alice Murphy and Edith Akers and one grand child.
Funeral services will be conducted at 12 noon Tuesday, April 8, 2014 from the Magoffin County Funeral Home Chapel with Bethel Bolin officiating. Burial will follow in the Family Cemetery at Gunlock, Kentucky. Friends may call at the funeral home after 11 am Tuesday, April 8, 2014 prior to funeral services.
