SPC4 Doyle Gean Chambers, 68, of Little Rock, Arkansas passed away of a heart attack at home Wednesday, March 5, 2014.

He was born on August 20, 1945 to the late Roy and Adeline Chambers.

Doyle served in the United States Army Special Forces in the Vietnam War. He retired from the Postal Service after 37 years of faithful service.

Doyle was a member of Henderson United Methodist church. He was an expert craftsman, mechanic and handyman and spent his spare time selflessly lending his skills to friends, family, and community members without being asked. Always athletic, Doyle was an avid golfer and tennis player, cherishing the many close friends he made playing those sports more than the sports themselves. He was a passionate fan of the Arkansas Razorbacks.

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother Orval and sister Marvlean.

He is survived by his loving wife of 20 years Joanne Chambers, brother Donald, sisters Marilyn Adams and Ruth Robinson (Robert), brother Carl (Terry), sister-in-law Maxine Simpson (Jim), step-sons Jaime Watts, and Chad Fowler (Kelly). He is further survived by his nephews, nieces, other relatives, and many, many friends.
