Harold E. "Gene" Pruett, 18, a son of Harold L. and Jacqueline Pruett, nee Nation, of 17 Pasadena Drive, Fairview Heights, was found dead Monday afternoon at the home of his parents.
He was pronounced dead at 5 p.m. at the home. An inquest is pending.
Harold was a senior at Belleville Township High School and a member of the Midway Baptist Church, East St. Louis.
Surviving, besides his parents, are a sister, Miss Stacey Lynne Pruett and three brothers, Vance, Michael and Scott Pruett, all at home; and a grandmother.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday from the Kurrus Funeral Home, Belleville, to Mount Hope Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. today.
