Alex Tribune, Alex, Grady Co., OK, Friday, February 11, 1910: "Wm. M. Buck - The people of Alex were surprised Tuesday morning to learn of the death Monday night of Wm. M. Buck. While it was known that he had been very ill and confined to the house for many weeks, his demise was not expected at this time. Mr. Buck was 61 years, 5 mos. 12 days of age; was born in Madison Co., Ark., coming to Oklahoma about 17 years ago. The last twelve years he has spent in this part of the state, making his home with his son, W. L. He leaves a wife and seven children to mourn his loss. The interment was Tuesday in the Laflin Creek cemetery, funeral services being held at the grave by Rev. Lovin."
