Jack Daleth Brown, 89 of The Woodlands, TX, formerly of Austin, passed away on August 15, 2012. He was born in Granbury, TX to Paul "Jack" and Leta Brown.

Mr. Brown served as an officer in the U.S. Navy during WWII; received B.S in Chemistry from North Texas State, M.S. in Bio-Chemistry and a MBA from UT-Austin.

With his entrepreneurial mindset, he created Glacier Industries, Inc. and subsequently established Glacier Christian Foundation which supported many charities worldwide for over 25 years. Faithfully served as deacon at Hyde Park Baptist Church and attended Hillcrest Baptist Church in Austin, and Crossroads Baptist Church in The Woodlands, TX.

He loved fishing in Michigan, vacationing in Colorado, studying the Bible and reading the Wall Street Journal. Enjoyed all things burnt orange - Texas Longhorn football, women's basketball and volleyball. One highlight as a Longhorn fan was attending the National Championship Rose Bowl Game in 2006.

Survived by his wife of 68 years, Nell and blessed with six children - Jackie (deceased) and Stoney Kirkpatrick, Sarah and Larry Dewberry, Gib and Jeannette Brown, Dale and Deborah Brown, Becky and Roy Fulcher, and Laura and Dave Dorcas – along with 18 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 4 until 6 pm., Sunday, Aug. 19, 2012 at the Cook-Walden Capital Parks Funeral Home in Pflugerville. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m., Monday, August 20, 2012 at the Memorial Chapel of the funeral home. Interment will follow at Capital Parks Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Kulea Childcare Villages www.kuleavillages.org or P.O. Box 333 Atkinson, NH 03811 or to a charity of choice.
