John W. Hill, age 62 of Corunna, MI passed from this life to paradise with Jesus on Fri. April 4, 2014 at Memorial Healthcare. He was born in Flint on June 10, 1951 to Fredrick C. & Mildred K. (Langlois) Hill. Living in Corunna most of his life, he graduated from Corunna High School in 1970. John worked for many years for Tri-Mer Corp. where he designed air quality filtration systems. He enjoyed using his engineering skills to further his hobby in wood-working. A skilled craftsman in wood, he won many ribbons (many 1st place) for making airplane and ship models, miniature furniture and relief carvings that he entered in the Shiawassee County Fair and the Michigan State Fair. John also had a talent for music and he played the guitar for many years. Playing in rock bands in his younger years, in his later years he played the twelve string guitar and harmonica in gospel groups. His love for Jesus was evident as he wrote original songs in praise to his Lord. He had a strong faith in his Savior and went to his eternal home to be with Jesus forever. Always a devoted father, he treasured his relationship with his daughter his "Jenny girl" Jennifer Hill, who survives him. He was predeceased by his father Fredrick C. Hill in 1968 and his mother, Mildred K. (Langlois) Hill Dingler in 2012.
Funeral services will be held at 1 PM Tuesday, April 8th at Mowen Funeral Home-William A. Scarlett Memorial Chapel with Rev. Janet Larner, Corunna United Methodist Church, officiating. Final rest will be at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Visitation will also be on Tuesday prior to the service starting at 11 AM.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the needs of the family.
