Bonnie Louise Whitaker Denham Goff-Phelps, 86 years of age, departed this life on Thursday, April 3rd, 2014.

Bonnie was born in Decatur, Illinois on September 9th, 1927, daughter of the late Silas Milton Whitaker and Minnie Bell Estep Whitaker. She was an avid reader, a member of Immanuel Baptist Church, and loved to do Embroidery Hand Work. She was also a diehard University of Kentucky Basketball fan.

Bonnie was survived by her loving husband of 34 years, Wayne Phelps; three sons, Church (and Darlene) Goff, Eugene (and Phyllis) Goff, and Jerry (and Cheryl) Phelps; one daughter, Nellie (and Mike) Richardson; twelve grandchildren; twenty-two great grandchildren; ten great-great grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends who mourn her passing.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, Silas Milton Whitaker and Minnie Bell Estep Whitaker, who departed this life when she was a child; her adoptive parents, Talmadge and Nellie Denham; her husband, Charlie Hayden Goff, who departed this life on November 16th, 1952; three children, Ronnie Goff, David Goff, and Hayden Goff; a granddaughter, Jennifer Joyce Goff; and a grandson, Christopher Neal Goff; six brothers, Bill Whitaker, Harry Whitaker, Sam Whitaker, Roy Whitaker, Howard Whitaker, and Butch Whitaker; one sister, Emma Welton; and three brothers from her adoptive parents, Frank Denham, Jethro Denham, and Arthur Denham.

Visitations were held from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 5th, 2014 at the Pulaski Funeral Home in Somerset, Kentucky.

Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 6th, 2014 in the Chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home with Bro. Don Jones and Bro. Danny Pace officiating.

Burial followed in the West Somerset Cemetery.
