Ray Allison of Winterset, a resident of Madison county the last 23 years, died Thursday, Nov. 14, at Memorial hospital here. He was 74 years of age.

Mr. Allison was a retired carpenter. He was born at Mt. Etna, Ia., on Nov. 1, 1894, a son of Andrew and Olive Fairrier Allison. He was a member of the Methodist church.

Mr. Allison was married at Guthrie Center Oct. 16, 1931, to Lelah M. Douglas, who survives him. He also leaves four sons, Kenneth L. Allison, who is serving with the U.S. armed forces in Vietnam, Robert D. Allison of Iowa City, Keith E. Allison of DeKalb, Ill, and Bernard L. Allison of Las Vegas, Nev.; and three grandchildren.
