Karl Sattler, retired farmer and resident of the Lodi district for more than 30 years, succumbed at a Stockton hospital Saturday following an extended illness. He was 80 years old and a native of South Russia. A life-long Baptist, Mr. Sattler was a member of the First Baptist Church of Lodi.
He was the husband of the late Katherine Sattler of Lodi, and father of Julius R. Sattler; A. Reinhold Sattler, Chudahy; and Theophil A. Sattler, Sacramento.
He was the brother of Phillip, Fred, Jake and Chris Sattler, all of Avon, S.D.; and brother-in-law of August Reich of Lodi. Also surviving are two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Burial in family plot at Lodi Cemetery.
