Agnes Bidwell

Agnes Fern Bidwell of Eureka, died on Thursday, April 3, 2014 at her home in Eureka, at the age of 78.

She was born on December 2, 1935, in Ponce de Leon, Missouri, the daughter of Ivan and Ruby (Maples) Wade. She was raised in Sparta, Missouri and graduated from Sparta High School. In 1952, Agnes was united in marriage to Burlin Gideon. They made their home in Springfield, Missouri. Burlin preceded her in death on June 3, 1972.

In 1990, Agnes was united in marriage to Clinton Bidwell. They made their home in Ponca City, Oklahoma, and later moved to Lawton, Oklahoma. In 1995, they moved to Eureka. Clinton preceded her in death on March 4, 2012.

She is survived by one son, Russell Gideon of Springfield, Missouri; daughter-in-law, Yvonne Gideon of Joplin, Missouri; four grandchildren; eight great-grandsons; and one sister, Nadine Davis of Augusta. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands; and son, Richard.

A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
