FRANK M. ROOP SR.
Frank M. Roop, Sr, a beloved member of the Fort Smith postal Staff, died Sunday morning, April 21, 1963, from a heart attack.

He was 62 years old, and lived on Kinkead Avenue. His health had not been good for some time and for a year was away from his duties because of arthritis of the spine. However, his death was unexpected. He had retired on May 30.

Mr. Roop was a native of Bond Special community of Crawford county and had lived in Fort Smith for many years. He was a superintendet for the mails at Fort Smith, a member of St. Paul's Medodist church, the Masonic lodge and the Fort Smith consistory.

Survivors include his wife, one daughter, a brother, two sisters, and two grandchildren.

Funeral service was held at 10:30 o'clock Wednesday morning at Fentress chapel, with William P. Connell, assisted by Clifford Palmer. Burial was at Roselawn Cemetery.
