Mr. Harlan was a truck driver for Verplank Concrete for 12 years, retiring in 1984. Before that, he worked for VanMeter Excavating Company. He was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. He served in the Army from 1943-1945. His hobbies included golf, woodworking, bowling yardwork and gardening.
Surviving with his wife are two sons, Ted (& Georgia) Harlan of Maple Grove, MN, and Michael (& Joanne) Harlan of Snow Camp, NC; a daughter, Janice (& William) Bloom of White Bear Township, MN; a sister, Mabel Williams of Slidell, LA; three brothers, Floyd Holzcshuh (& Carol) Harlan of Forest Lake, MN, Dick Holzcshuh (& Carole), and Douglas Holzcshuh, both of St. Paul; ten grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by a daughter, Mary M. Harlan; his stepfather, Henry Holzcshuh; two brothers, Neal and Ralph Holzcshuh; and two sisters, Marie Harlan and Ruth Milota.
