Funeral services for Roy R. Wax were held February 6, 1956 from the Tremont Methodist Church with burial in the Amory Masonic Cemetery with Hawkins Funeral Home of Fulton in charge. Mr. Wax, a retired farmer, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. M. L. Robinson following an illness of 18 months. He was 76 years old. Mr. Wax died of pneumonia which followed a stroke he suffered some 18 months ago. He had lived in Amory all of his life, except the past five years which he had made his home in Tremont. He was a member of the Tremont Methodist Church.
Survivors included his wife, Callie Bowen Wax; and two children, Mrs. M. L. Robinson of Tremont and Miss Madge Wax of Tremont
