Margaret C. Flynt, age 95, of Knoxville, Tennessee went to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 7, 2021. She was born July 2, 1926 in Statesville, North Carolina to the late Troy R. and Jettie Cloaninger. Margaret met her husband Jack while working in Winston- Salem, NC and they were married in August 1946. They moved to Knoxville in 1948 so he could attend the University of Tennessee. After graduation they stayed in Knoxville and raised 3 children. They became members of Sevier Heights Baptist Church in July 1952 where she was still a member.

She loved singing and listening to hymns and knew scriptures by heart. Margaret deeply loved her family and enjoyed watching the Vols and Lady Vols. She is preceded in death by her husband Jackson K. Flynt, sister, Hazel McNeely, two brothers, Frank and Max Cloaninger.

Survivors include her children Janis (Dee) Hall, Kathryn (Simon) deVente and Ken (Mickey) Flynt. Grandchildren; Scott (Adelia) Hall, Russ (Reagan) Womack, Leslie Crain, Hannah deVente, Justin (Jenna) Morris, Kelly (Jamey) Evans, Zachary Morris; 14 Great-Grandchildren, brother, Joe Cloaninger; special friend Arvel "Mac" McNelly, several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 pm Thursday, November 11, 2021 with a celebration of Life service to follow at 7 pm in the chapel of Berry Funeral Home, 3704 Chapman Highway. Rev. Don Wilson and Rev. Charlie McNutt officiating. Family and friends will meet at 2 pm Friday, November 12, 2021 at Woodlawn Cemetery for graveside services. Pallbearers will be grandsons.
