Mr. Froehler was a systems analyst for the Kansas Department of Revenue for more than 20 years before he retired. He earlier worked for the Topeka Supply Depot and Boeing Aircraft. He also was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War.
He was born April 3, 1928, in Heisler Alberta, Canada, to Claudius Claudwald and Irene Mary Brick Froehler. Mr. Froehler was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
He married Mary Ann Kamer on Feb. 9, 1952, in Topeka. She died Dec. 15, 1988.
Survivors include a daughter, Linda Johnson, Topeka; a stepdaughter, Nancy Conner, Topeka; and a sister, Peggy Vetter, Port Angeles, Wash.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Inurnment with military honors conducted by a Fort Riley honor guard will be at 11 a.m. March 22 at Mount Calvary Cemetery. Mr. Froehler will lie in state at Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home after 2 p.m. Sunday. Parish rosary will be recited at 4 p.m.
