Earl S. Gilbert, 78, of 4th Street, Green Lane, died Monday in his home. He was the husband of Helen K. (Keelor) Gilbert.
He was a hosiery knitter and a construction worker before retiring.
Born in Green Lane, he was a son of the late A. Howard and Katie (Zepp) Gilbert.
He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Sumneytown.
Survivors: Wife; son, David L. of Pottstown; brothers, Lamar of Duncannon, Perry County, Willard of Red Hill, Lester of Perkasie, Lawrence of Sumneytown, and John and Harold, both of East Greenville; sisters, Jeanetta Weber of Pennsburg R.1, Cleta Landis of Harleysville and Marie Moyer of Souderton; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
