HUTCHINSON – Mrs. Margaret J. Hutchinson died at the home of her son Joseph, near Leesville, Lawerence county, about two o'clock Tuesday morning, February 1, 1910, of infirmities, aged 82 years, 4 months and six days. She was the daughter of Robert and Mary Terrell and at age fifteen she was united in marriage to Charles L. Hutchinson October 2, 1842. To this union were born fifteen children – four sons and eleven daughters; ten of these precious ones and her dear companion preceded her to the spirit land, leaving her to fight the battles of life alone for nearly thirty years.
Deceased was sick but a few days and gradually slept away. She united with the church at Liberty about 1861 and lived a devoted member until death. She was a kind, Christian mother and a helping friend to all about her. Besides her five children, namely, Mrs. Phoebe Wray, Joseph W., Mrs. Sarah Mikels, Charley and Mrs. Vinnie Fish, she leaves one sister, Mrs. "Sookie" Croucher, also two half-brothers, James and John Terrell and two half-sisters, Mrs. Abagail Utterback and Mrs. Polly Owen, to mourn her demise.
