Albert Lee Abel, age 70, of Front Royal Virginia, died Wednesday, March 26, 2014 at Amerisist Assisted Living, Front Royal.
A Celebration of Life gathering for Mr. Abel will be held on Saturday, April 5, 2014 from 1 to 3 PM at Stover Funeral Home, Strasburg, VA.
He was born on November 6, 1943, a son of the late Walter Bryant Abel and Thelma Isabelle Abel Raines.
He was retired from Winchester Woodworking where he worked as a purchasing manager and was a member of Front Royal Moose Lodge 829, Front Royal Fraternal Order of Eagles, and Front Royal Elks Lodge 2382.
Mr. Abel was raised by a loving foster mother, Biggee Clark and her loving family.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters, Helen Ann Whetzel and Brenda Sisk.
Survivors include his friend, companion and "soul mate" of 21 years, Patricia "Patsy" Hull of Front Royal; a son, Michael Clark Abel and wife, Missy of Front Royal, VA; grandchildren, Ryan Abel and Nathan Abel; step-sons, Austin Hull and wife, Cheryl of Bedford, VA, Ed Hull and wife, Shelly of Paducah, KY, and Fred Hull of Lynchburg, VA; five step grandchildren; fourteen step great-grandchildren; siblings, Marie Wyatt, Bobbie Gallimore, Walter Miller and Charles Abel.
The family suggests that flowers be omitted and expressions of sympathy be in the form of memorial contributions in Mr. Abel's name, to Blue Ridge Hospice, 333 W. Cork St., Winchester, VA 22601.
