Margaret "Peggie" Ann (Brown) Hoernemann, age 69, of Norwood Young America,

passed away on Thursday, Sept. 27, 2012, at Golden Valley Health and Rehab Center in Golden Valley. Memorial services were held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 30, 2012 at Church of Peace in Norwood Young America, with interment at a later date at Zion Lutheran Cemetery in Benton Township, Cologne. Clergy officiating: Pastor Lynda Johnson; organist: Nancy Smith; soloist: Lawrence Biermann, "In The Garden"; congregational hymns: "Amazing Grace," led by Ranae Moore, and "How Great Thou Art."

Margaret "Peggie" Ann (Brown) Hoernemann was born on June 18, 1943 in Duluth, the daughter of Paul and Esther (Michaelson) Brown. Peggie was baptized as an infant and was later confirmed in her Lutheran faith. She received her education in Duluth,

and was a graduate of the Denfield High School Class of 1962. Peggie grew up in Duluth and traveled throughout the United States. In 1989, she moved back to Minnesota. On May 19, 1990, Peggie was united in marriage to Harold "JR" Hoernemann by Rev. Paul Klemp at Zion Lutheran Church in Benton Township, Cologne. Peggie and JR made their home in the Norwood Young America area. They shared over 22 years of marriage. Peggie drove truck for 13 years, worked at Young America Corporation and was a secretary for Lyle Zieper. She was a member at Church of Peace in Norwood Young America. Peggie loved life, which showed in her vibrant and energetic personality. She enjoyed yard work, playing Sheephead, helping others, dancing and socializing. Peggie cherished the time spent with her friends and family. Peggie passed away at the age of 69 years, 3 months and 9 days. Blessed be her memory.

Peggie is preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Esther Brown; sisters, Sharon and Sandy; brother, Donald.

Peggie is survived by her: husband, Harold "JR" Hoernemann of Norwood Young America; children, Lance Pisci and his special friend, Michelle, of Ill., Toni Ray and her husband, Royce, of Brooklyn Center, Paul Frost of Las Vegas, Nev.; step child, Brent Hoernemann and his wife, Wendy, of Stacy, Minn.; grandchildren, Ranae Moore, Heather Steinborn, Jackson LaDuke, Gary LaDuke, Jade Frost, Robin Frost, Coen Hoernemann; great-grandchildren, Makaila Steinborn, Cole Moore; sister, Carol Seehusen of New Hope, Minn.; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Arrangements were with the Paul-McBride Funeral Chapel of Norwood Young America.
