To the Editor of The Champion
So many events of importance have occurred in this vicinity in the last few days that we feel it our duty to give you some of the items. First, on last Tuesday was the anniversary of the tenth year of marriage of Mr. and Mrs. Nelson Chalfant, and their friends far and near improved the occasion by giving them and old fashioned surprise party. The presents were numerous and useful. The affair wound up at night by an old fashioned country dance run by the "Iron Greys," a noted club of dancers, of which our present popular Sheriff is President, and your correspondent has the honor to be secretary.
