Paul Berto, 83, a lifelong resident of Newark, passed away Thursday October 25, 2012. Before retiring, Mr. Berto was employed by the United States Postal Service for many years. He served in the United States Army Air Force during the Korean War. Mr. Berto is survived by his daughters Kathleen Berto and Michele Berto, brothers George Pretto and Sandy Pretto, grandchildren Alicia Medellin and her husband Richard, Janelle Medina and Nicole Medina. He was predeceased by his wife Patricia (nee Hahn), daughter Paula Berto, parents Angelo and Adelina (nee Perrini) Berto and brothers Louis Berto and Eugene Pretto . Funeral Monday 8:30 am from the Megaro Memorial Home 503 Union Ave Belleville (megaromemorialhome.com). Mass 10 am Immaculate Conception Church Newark. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery North Arlington. Visitation Sunday 1-5pm
