HEBER CITY - Elizabeth Carroll Reese, our loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, passed away on Monday, Dec. 5, 2005, of natural causes.
A kind and gentle soul passed from our sight but not our hearts. Her long journey has ended and she is back in- the arms of her beloved husband, "Reese", and her parents, grandparents, brothers, sisters and friends.
Born Nov. 22, 1919, in the beautiful-Heber Valley to George and Sarah Casper Carroll.
She was the third of six children. She graduated from Wasatch High School. Shortly afterwards, she fell in love with her sweetheart Robert Wayne Reese.
Elizabeth and Robert made their home in Heber City and raised their family. Active member of the LDS Church serving in many positions with love and dedication.
Active member of the DUP, also served many years as a Temple Worker.
Survived by six children: Virginia (Ken) Smith, Wellington; Betty (Stephen) Julien, Cedar City; Anita (Sterling) Giles, Lyman, WY; Bonnie (Dale) Bowden, Vernal; Carol (Dean) Davis, Heber City; Robert (Donna) Reese, of Thornton, NH; brother, James Carroll, Heber City; 28 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert; son, Wayne, and brothers and sisters, Casper Carroll, Eth Spencer, Jean Hardman and John Carroll.
Friends may call on Thursday, Dec. 8, from 6 - 8 p.m., at Olpin-Hoopes Funeral Home, 288 N. Main, Heber City.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, Dec. 9, at the 3rd-7th Ward Chapel, 240 East 400 South, Heber City. There will be a viewing from 9:30 a.m.-10:30 a.m., followed by the funeral services at 11 a.m.
Interment will be in the Heber City Cemetery.
She will be missed.
