Funeral services for Mr. George W. Creamer, Sr., 71, of Hazlehurst, who pa ssed away
Sunday in the Clyde Duncan Memorial Hospital after a short illness, were h eld
Wednesday in the Oak Grove Baptist Church. Rev. Bob Chavis, Rev. M.L. Rick s, and
Rev. Prentice Herndon officiated with the burial. Mr. Creamer was a life l ong resident
of Jeff Davis County, a retired farmer and a member of the Oak Grove Bapti st
Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mary B. Creamer of Hazlehurst; five daugh ters, Mrs.
Myrtice Tucker, Mrs. Edna Moody, Mrs. Clarine Cannon, Mrs. Louise Seller s, and Mrs.
Lucille Crawford all of Hazlehurst; six sons, Willis Creamer of Shakope e, Minn., Cecil
Creamer, Sam Creamer and George W. Creamer, Jr. all of Hazlehurst, Geor
Creamer & Herman Creamer both of Jacksonville, Fla.; four sisters, Mrs. L. H. Calhoun
of Lumber City, Ga., Mrs. Alice Hayward and Mrs. Maria Dykes, both of Hazl ehurst,
Mrs. Ellen Tucker of Broxton, Ga.; two brothers, Mr. T.J. Creamer of Hazle hurst, and
Mr. Calvin Creamer of Lake City, Fla.; 40 grandchildren, 4 great grandchil dren also a
numbers of nieces and nephews.
Diretions:
From Hazlehurst, Ga go out Broxton Hwy and turn right on Kirkland Still Rd, turn left on Ussery Rd, turn right on Oak Grove Baptist Church Rd and the cemetery is down this road on left.
