Lee Thompson, 85, of Eldon, died early Saturday at a Versailles nursing home.
Mr. Thompson was born near Spring Garden in Miller County July 15, 1878, the son of Greenlee and Elizabeth Sullins Thomson. He was married Dec. 25, 1906 to Miss Minnie Roark. She died May 12, 1920.
Mr. Thompson was a teacher in Miller County rural schools for 37 years.
Survivors include three sons, Ormond, Virgil and Garland Thomson, all of Eldon; one daughter, Mrs. Elizabeth Campbell, Kansas City, Kan.; 12 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 pm Monday at an Eldon funeral home chapel, Brother Arvil Elrod officiating, with burial in Tuscumbia Cemetery.
