Husband of Clara Dick-Shaw, Married January 18, 1941 Brother of Helen Catherine (Shaw) Holden and Kermit Gailen Shaw.Charles Fredrick Shaw was 2nd of three known children born to Homer Leon Shaw & Enda Beatrice (Clapper); his siblings being: Helen Catherine (Shaw) Holden and Kermit Gailen Shaw.

He was united in marriage to Eva Clara Dick on January 18, 1941, Anderson, Madison County, Indiana. To this union seven known children were born: Ethel Charlene Shaw, Jerry Dean Shaw, Judith Ann Shaw, Charles Frederick Shaw, Jr., Kathy Jane Shaw, Nena Denise Shaw, Timothy Lee Shaw.

He spent 2 years at New Palestine High School before he enlisted in the U.S. Army at Fort Benjamin Harrison, Indianapolis, Marion County, Indiana, as a private on May 31, 1944, where he was a designated machine operator. Following his tour of duty, he was employed by International Harvester.

He answered the summons to the spirit world at the age of 52y, & 4m following a battle with metastatic carcinoma of brain and rectum.
