Adrian W. Martin was born January 12, 1926 in Des Moines, Iowa, the son of Pearle E. Martin and Virginia (Dutton) Martin. He proudly served his country in the U. S. Army during WWII. He was awarded two Purple Hearts and a Bronze Star, in addition to many other accolades. He retired from East High School after 33 years of faithful service.
Adrian passed away Sunday, March 30, 2014 surrounded by his loving family at Mercy Hospice in Johnston. He was 88 years old.
Adrian is survived by his wife of 62 years, Martha; daughter, Karen (John) Sheldon; son, Dennis; grandchildren: Rebecca, Abigail and Rachel Shelton, Brandon and Lacie; brother, Dale; and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Roberta and Madge; and brother, Boyd.
