Lillian Talleruphus was born in about 1891, in Nebraska, to Danish immigrants Trine and Andrew Talleruphus.
Education was important to her parents, and Lillian graduated from high school. The 1900 US Census shows the family living in Ward 8, in Omaha, Nebraska, and later City Directories show the home address as 3006 S. 32nd Street. There had been two children, but only Lillian was still living. She was 9 years old attending school in 1900.
Her father, Andrew Talleruphus, earned a living as a sign painter, working in 1915 for Eisele and Co. but by 1940, her father was 72 and her mother was 71, and Trine, now 49, was supporting both herself and her parents, working as a stenographer for Penn. Mutual Life Insurance (the Land Department division). In 1939 Lillian earned $1880, more than many men of her day.
Lillian died Dec. 24, 1947, when she was about 56 years old. Andrew had died in January, 1945, at age 77. Lillian was cremated, and later, when her mother, Trine Talleruphus, passed away in February, 1956, at age 87, Lillian's ashes were buried in her mother's grave.

Note: People working for Forest Lawn said that Lillian had died in Omaha, been cremated by them, but not interred there--they had sent the cremains to Lawson Mortuary back in December, 1947.
