Services were held at the Ferguson Funeral home Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock for Mrs. Mary Motteler, 73, who died at her home east of Plain City, Friday, March 7th. Mrs. Motteler was born in Jerome Township on December 28, 1873 and was the daughter of John and Kathryn Wise. On March 30, 1899, she was united in marriage to Louis Motteler, who preceded her in death December 12, 1933. She had been a member of the Plain City Presbyterian church for many years and had lived her entire live in this vicinity, where she had been an active and respected citizen. She was widely known and had many friends in this community. Deceased is survived by two daughters and two sons, Mrs. Helen M. McKenzie of Sidney, Mrs. Frances M. Patterson of Plain City; Oral K. Motteler of Forks, Washington and George H. Motteler of Delaware. A sister, Dora Porchet and brother, John Wise and six grandchildren also survive. Interment in Forest Grove Cemetery.
