Mrs. John M. Fix Passes In Los Angeles at Home of Son After Illness of One Month
A message received in Lewiston last night from John Penn Fix, Spokane, announced the death of his mother, Mrs. John M. Fix, Lewiston pioneer, at the home of her son, Blissett Fix, in Los Angeles, last evening about 7:30 o'clock.
Mrs. Fix had made her home in Spokane and Seattle after leaving Lewiston and went to Los Angeles about four months ago to spend the winter with her son there. She became critically ill about a month ago and was visited by her sons residing in Spokane and Seattle, but when she showed improvement, they returned to their homes.
The remains will be shipped from Los Angeles today and will arrive in Lewiston Monday morning. It is probable the funeral will be conducted Monday afternoon. John Penn Fix will arrive Saturday evening from Spokane to make arrangement for the funeral.
