Mr. Wood was preceded in death by his wife, Hester Jane Wood and son, Donald Ray Wood. Survivors include: daughter and son-in-law, Hilda Wood and Orbie Beasley of Leland, NC; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
The funeral will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 17, at West & Dunn Funeral Home Chapel, Benson, NC, officiated by the Rev. Billy Keene and Elder Walter Stewart. Burial will follow in Roselawn Cemetery.
