Franklin Abel Butterfield, was born March 21, 1870 to Jacob and Sarah Hayes Butterfield in Taylorsville, Utah. Franklin was one of fourteen children.
He married Jemima Channing 28 August 28, 1891 in Taylorsville and they had 8 children.
Later about 1920 Franklin and Jemima and two of their sons Leo and Ferrebee and their families moved to Chesterfield, Idaho and farmed.
Franklin and Jemima died in Idaho, but are buried in Utah.
Leo and Ferribee Butterfield stayed in Chesterfield, Idaho making it their permanent home.
