Remains were moved c.1900 to Southview Cemetery from "Old Colegrove Cemetery" aka "North Church Street Cemetery." The old burial ground, which was owned by the First Baptist Church of North Adams and was located on the east side of North Church Street, was moved at the direction and expense of the city of North Adams in order to construct the public Colegrove Park. Details of the move can be found in Chap. 402 Acts and Resolves Passed 27 June 1900 by the General Court Massachusetts avail online at google books.
