Doris G. Patterson, age 93, of Upper Arlington, passed away Wednesday, June 22, 2011.
Born in Delaware, Ohio, Doris graduated from Willis High School, attended Office Training School, and retired from C&O Railway after 34 years of service.
Doris is preceded in death by her husband H. Thomas, parents Guy and Nina Gross, and sisters Pauline Gay and Betty Beaman. She is survived by her brother, John C. Gross (Donna) of Thousand Oaks, California; many nieces and nephews; and many friends including special friends, Philip and Lynne Hughes, Jr., Kevin and Michelle Laverty and their daughter, Bailey, and Roland Guay. Doris was a member of Avondale United Methodist Church and Beacon Chapter #593, O.E.S.
Arrangements are being made by SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST CHAPEL, 1740 Zollinger Road for a graveside-only service, officiated by Rev. Kevin Chambers. Inurnment will be at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens Wednesday, July 13, 2011 at 11 a.m.
