She was born in Greene County at Ash Grove, MO, and was a lifelong resident of the Walnut Grove and Ash Grove area. She was a graduate of Ash Grove High School in 1936. Alda became a school teacher, Sunday school teacher and a dedicated Mom and homemaker. She loved her Lord, family, church, music, poetry and sewing. Alda was a member of Concord Baptist Church, near Walnut Grove.
Alda Alexander and Hubert Coble were united in marriage on April 19, 1943. Together they were privileged to share 67 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert Coble on June 21, 2010; her parents, George and Ola Alexander; two brothers: William and Glen Alexander; three sisters: Georgia Fortner, Eva McGee, June Northington; and a great-grandson Miles Lombardi.
She is survived by two children, David and Sharon Coble; Donna and Bob Dodson; one brother, John Alexander; four sisters: Wynona Haines, Dorsey Detienne, Joan Fries, Mary Porter; eight grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; fifteen step-great-grandchildren; and one step-great-great-grandchild.
Interment in Ash Grove Cemetery.
