Services for Irvin Allen, 67, of 708 W. Moore will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the First United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Westlawn Cemetery under the direction of Shurden Funeral Home.
Mr. Allen was born March 22, 1914 in Henryetta and died April 7 at the Henryetta Medical Center. He retired from P.P.G. after more than 40 years and was a member of the First United Methodist Church and the American Legion. He served with the U.S. Navy in WWII.
He is survived by his wife, Sammie Allen, of the home; a daughter, Barbara Allen of Chickasha; a brother, Leon Allen of Tulsa; and a sister, Ruby Fisher of Denver, Colorado.
Active pallbearers will be Turner Kindred, Hayes Allen Shaw, Russell Hutton, Dr. Robert Hamilton, Jim Sisson and Cameron Burns. Honorary bearers will be Hoyt Decker and O. B. Board.
The family requests that donations be made in Mr. Allen's memory to the First United Methodist Church building fund or to the donor's favorite charity.
