Miss Catherine Ury died 4 Feb 1908, at the home of Webb Ury, three miles south of Jonesboro, aged 90 years, and was buried in St. John's Cemetery. She was born in Cabarrus Co., N.C., the daughter of John and Sophia Ury. She came to Union County in 1819. She lived a short time with relatives in Nebraska, but most of her life was spent in Union County. She left a sister, Nancy Cruse, of Marble Hill, Mo.
