In 1899 her mother married railroad conductor Thomas Carrow. Thomas put most of the children through private schools and four years of college, including the girls.
Ironically, according to published records, sisters Florence and Lenore each married men named William Paul Cronin.
Florence was married in 1911 in Posey County, Indiana to William born about 1874 in Troy, New York. In 1917 Lenore married her William in Belmont, Massachusetts. He was born in 1880 in Boston.
About 1928 Florence married James Patterson, the sales manager for the Packard Motor Car Company in Brookline, Massachusetts. In 1930 he was managing a car dealership in Chicago but by 1935 the couple was living back in Brookline.
In 1940 the couple moved to Los Angeles where James was the Southern California Sales Representative for a wholesale liquor company.
Sadly James died in 1943, age 58. Florence remained in Los Angeles until her own death in 1958. The couple are both buried back in Massachusetts with her mother, step-father and three of her five siblings.
