John Morgan Grantham, farmer, was born in Decatur County, Georgia, on 23 November 1875. HE was the youngest son and ninth of ten children born to Jesse Jackson Grantham and Sarah Grantham, nee Lane. HIS brothers were: William Madison Benjamin Slaughter Grantham, born 28 October 1857, died 2 November 1882; Nathan Green Ealy Thomas Peter-The-Honorable Grantham, born 8 December 1859, died 16 October 1907; and Jesse Lee Grantham, born 2 September 1873. HIS sisters were: Harriett Milicia, born 21 October 1862; Susan Jane, born December 1865; Elizabeth, born 5 January 1867; Mary Jane, born 8 March 1869, died 1895; Jessie TheoDosia, born 14 February 1871; and Delphia Tempie, born 14 December 1879. William and Mary Jane died unmarried; Harriett and Jessie Theodosia married Clouds. HE married Rosa J Clark (born 20 June 1885 in Mitchell County, Georgia; died 22 March 1961 in Eau Gallie, Brevard County, Florida, buried Day, Lafayette County, Florida, beside James Eli Grantham) in Georgia during May 1902. Three children issued from this marriage. John Morgan Grantham died in Decatur County, Georgia, on 10 April 1923.
