John Nay, Early Lodi Resident, Succumbs After Lingering Ill
John Keltts Nay, 75, a resident of Lodi for more than 35 years, died at his home on Walnut avenue, Lodi, last night after a lingering illness of three months. He was one of Lodi's early settlers and he had a host of friends throughout this section. Mr. Nay was engaged in the dairy business near Lodi at one time. He was a native of Illinois. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 o'clock from the Christian church in Lodi.
He was the father of Mary E. Nay, Marshall K. Nay both of Lodi, Oscar K. Nay of Roseville, Robert O. Nay of Oakland and Alma L. Nay and Mrs. Christy C. Nagle of Stockton. He also leaves three grand-children.

Death Takes Old Resident
John Pelts Nay, resident of the Lodi district for the past 35 years, died at his home on Walnut avenue Thursday morning following a short illness. He was a native of Illinois, aged 75 years, 7 months, 2 days.
Nay conducted a dairy business here for many years but had retired several years ago. He was widely known throughout this section.
He was the husband of the late Sarah J. Nay and father of Miss Mary E. Nay and Marshall K. Nay of Lodi; Miss Alma L. Nay, Stockton; Mrs. Christie Nagel, Robert O. Nay, Oakland; Oscar R. Nay, Roseville, and grandfather of Jessie, Waneta and Ramona Nay, Roseville.
