STEFANSKI, Eileen Marie (Finn) of Hemlock, Michigan, passed away on Monday, March 24, 2014 at St. Mary's of Michigan with her family by her side. She was 68 years old. Eileen Marie Finn was born on October 13, 1945 in Bay City, Michigan to the late, Thomas and Patricia (Wagner) Finn. She married her high school sweetheart and the love of her life, James Stefanski on January 15, 1966 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bay City; he preceded her in death on April 16, 1996.


Eileen was a graduate of Bay City Central High School. She was employed by Meijer on Gratiot Road, retiring in 2012 after 30 years of service. Eileen was full of life and energy and had a great sense of humor. She enjoyed shopping with her family and friends and couldn't miss watching her favorite program, "Days of Our Lives". She loved working in her yard, feeding birds, watching for deer and scrapbooking. Above all, Eileen loved and cherished her family and always looked forward to holiday gatherings.


Surviving are two sons and two daughters: Thomas (Lora) Stefanski of Merrill, Jean Kozlowski of Mentor, OH, James Stefanski of Saginaw Township, and Jennifer (Joseph) Pilkington of Chassell and Saginaw; eight grandchildren: Jennifer Ford of Jacksonville, FL, Todd Ross of Hemlock, Zachary Stefanski of Merrill, Nicholas and Olivia Kozlowski of Mentor, OH, David Sherbino and his fiancée, Elisa Neetz, of Bay City, Kelsey Sherbino and Kaylee Boyer of Breckenridge; a great-granddaughter, Isabela Ford of Jackson, FL; and special friends: Sandy Boyer, Joyce Campbell and Pat Hart. Also surviving are many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, cousins, nieces and nephews.

FUNERAL: Funeral Liturgy will take place on Friday, March 28, 2014 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 1035 N. River Rd. Rev. Fr. Peter J. Gaspeny will officiate. Rite of Committal will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, Hemlock.


VISITATION: Friends are welcome to visit with the family at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State) on Thursday from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A Vigil Service will take place at 7:00 p.m. Eileen will lie in state at the church on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass.
