Adda Courson, 55, of 637 Marietta Avenue, Lancaster, formerly of Parker, died at 10:30 PM Sunday, June 13, 1965 in St. Joseph's Hospital, Lancaster.
Mrs. Courson and her husband had operated a grocery store in Lancaster for the past 13 years. She was a member of the Parker Methodist Church.
Surviving are her husband, Howard J. Courson; a son, Carl K. Courson of Jamestown, New York; four grandchildren; four sisters, Miss Aileen Jordan of Petrolia; Mrs. Flora Roper of Lancaster; Mrs. Eleanor Thomas of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio and Vesta (John) Dunlap of Parker; three brothers, Guy S. Jordan of Dundee, New York; Henry F. and Samuel A. Jordan, both of Parker.
Friends will be received at the Fred S. Bowser Funeral Home, Parker, from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM Wednesday and until time of the funeral on Thursday. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 PM Thursday from the funeral home, with the Reverend Arthur Babbitt, pastor of the Parker Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Allegheny Cemetery near Parker.
