Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Charles Lucas, Roanoke; two sons, Melvln J. Carter, Radford, Utah H. Carter, Dublin; two sisters, Mrs. Kale Wright, Dublin, Mrs. Alma Shelton, Radford; five brothers, Hobert Montgomery, James F. Montgomery, Berman Montgomery, Fugate Montgomery, Radford,, Griffith Montgomery, Dublin.

The funeral will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at DeVilbiss Funeral Chapel, with burial in Carter family cemetery, Pulaski County.
