Gertrude Elizabeth Chartrand, of Boulder, died of natural causes Thursday, Aug. 24, 2006, at Boulder Manor Health Care Center. She was 92.
The daughter of Henry Kellogg and Rose Standish, she was born Aug. 2, 1914, in Chicago. She married Stanley R. Chartrand on Nov. 8, 1941, in Chicago.
Mrs. Chartrand moved to Boulder in 1973.
She attended the University of Chicago and was a homemaker. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Boulder and the church's mission committee and mariners group.
She enjoyed hiking, backpacking, crossword puzzles, classic movies and reading. She "loved people and to travel," the family said.
Survivors include two sons, Laurence Chartrand and Ken Chartrand, of Boulder; one daughter, Elizabeth Reiford, of North Carolina; a brother, Charles Kellogg, of Jackson Heights, N.Y.; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband.
A graveside service will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Green Mountain Cemetery, 290 20th St., Boulder.
Memorial services will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 3, at First Presbyterian Church of Boulder, 1820 15th St. The Revs. John Hess and Keith Vandegrift l officiated
