Dave married Bertha Wickstrom in July 1914 in Douglas county, NE. They lived in Oakland and Dave worked for a printer until around 1919 when they moved to a farm outside Oakland. In the 1930's they moved back into Oakland, NE and Dave worked putting up power lines.
