Notes From Maple Grove:
On Friday morning, Nov. 16, Alfred Reineman (sic) of Reedsville was called to eternal rest, after battling with a disease that held him in its grasp for the past ten months. The deceased was born in Reedsville 22 years ago. He attended the Reedsville graded school. He was an unusually bright pupil. At the age of sixteen he graduated and then entered the employment of L.A. Busse the Reedsville postmaster and druggist, acting as clerk. Later he took a course in pharmacy.
He secured a position in a Milwaukee drug store, serving in the capacity of assistant druggist, which position he held for three years. He then purchased a drug store at Dale, Wis., where he did a thriving business for one year, when his health failed and he was obliged to return to the home of his parents in Reedsville, where he remained till he was relieved from his earthly sufferings.
He was an exemplary young man possessed of great business ability. His Close attention to his studies was undoubtedly the cause of his failing health. He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Peter Reinemann; four sisters, Mrs. Adolph Haese and the Misses Delia, Hattie and Stella; and one brother, Eddie, who operates a grain elevator at New Holstein. He will also be mourned by many of his former schoolmates and acquaintance in Reedsville and vicinity. The funeral was held Monday from the Lutheran church in Reedsville, the funeral cortege being an unusually large one. His remains were laid to rest in the Lutheran cemetery in Reedsville.
