Taken from the Lancaster Mennonite Historical Society Scrapbook: Clair C Collingwood, 63, of 175 Lincoln Ave, Reinholds, died Saturday afternoon at the Lebanon Veterans Administration Medical Center, where he was a patient since June 5. Born in Lancaster, he was a son of the late Earl Dewey and Erla M Hornberger Collingwood. He was employed by Kauffman Precast, Reinholds, and was an Army Veteran of World War II, where he served under General George Patton. He was a member of the Reinholds Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6759, and a member of the Reinholds Athletic Club. He attended Ephrata High School and graduated from Stevens Trade School in Lancaster. He is survived by two sisters, Jeanne, wife of Richard H Kramer, Stevens; and Maebelle, wife of Elmer Trostle, Denver; one brother, William, Ketchican, Alaska; and one step-brother Earl Sheaffer, Akron.
